About Cook Medical

Since 1963, Cook Group companies have been among the leaders in developing healthcare devices that have improved lives around the world.

Recognizing the clinical value of the Seldinger percutaneous entry technique that led to dramatic reductions in historically open surgical procedures, Cook Incorporated became the first U.S. medical device manufacturer to produce matched sets of needles, catheters and wire guides needed to perform this procedure. This foresight put Cook Incorporated at the start of a medical technology revolution that has led to international success.

The company is now acknowledged as a leading developer and manufacturer of catheters, wire guides, introducer sheaths, stents, embolization coils, vena cava filters, aortic endovascular grafts, airway management devices, central venous catheter devices, drainage products and other technologies in the area of minimally invasive therapy.

Cook Medical also provides a wide selection of educational resources for both physicians and patients, and is a frequent sponsor of conferences and fellowships around the world.

Cook Medical is a global company with a global focus—and a global future.
