Shanghai, China, September 9, 2010 – Cook Medical, one of the leading developers of healthcare devices, today announced the appointment of Ms. Rebecca Liu as its new General Manager of China.

Based in Shanghai, Ms. Liu's new role encompasses the operation and administration of Cook Medical China, whilst managing a wide range of functional divisions including human resources, finance, logistics, customer service, marketing, quality assurance, safety and information technology. Ms. Liu will help oversee the implementation of business policies in line with Cook's regional direction.

Ms. Liu has 7 years of valuable experience in the biotechnology industry across China. Prior to Cook Medical, she was Acting Country Leader for VWR International China Co., Ltd, and has held various management positions, spanning business development and operations.

Ms. Liu holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree from Shanghai University Law School.
