Tips
- Before operating, ensure that the curvature has been stable for 6 months.
- Set realistic expectations for your patient with regard to penile length, curvature resolution and erectile function.
- When sizing Biodesign, be sure to select a large enough piece for the defect. A piece 30% larger than the defect is recommended.
- To prevent blood accumulation, apply a light pressure dressing for 24 to 48 hours.
- Encourage your patient to refrain from sexual activity for 6 to 8 weeks.
