Biodesign Staple Line Reinforcement helps prevent leaks along the staple line in bariatric and thoracic procedures. It communicates with the body, signaling surrounding tissue to grow across the scaffold, sealing the line more effectively than staples alone.
Biodesign completely remodels into fully vascularized tissue, providing a natural, strong seal. And because its thin profile is string free and precoated with water-soluble adhesive, it's remarkably easy to apply.

Tips
- Fire the stapler within 20 minutes of applying the staple line reinforcement to the stapler jaws.
- Avoid trying to re-adhere the staple line reinforcement.
- For best results, do not dip the staple line reinforcement in saline. Wet only the stapler jaws using a lap sponge.
- Hold the stapler firmly closed, using both thumbs, for at least 10 seconds to activate adhesive.
- Between every use with Ethicon® staplers, wipe anvil side clean.
