In the field of critical care, bedside procedures are both life-saving and cost-saving. During our Innovations in Bedside Procedures Vista course, clinicians learn to master these procedures to treat critically ill patients at the bedside while avoiding the large price tag associated with the operating room.
This fall, the Critical Care division will hold two full-day, comprehensive bioskills courses that include hands-on teaching, simulation instruction, and human-tissue skills training. The courses also incorporate lectures covering the credentialing process, reimbursement, and the basics of transitioning this procedure from the OR to the bedside.
“Vista training courses are extremely valuable for clinicians,” said Matt Repasy, Cook Medical’s critical care trainer and clinical support manager. “This was a great opportunity for them to refresh their current skills, acquire new knowledge, and learn more about the cost-effectiveness of performing procedures at the bedside.”
This course is ideal for attendings and fellows in surgical, non-surgical, and other critical care specialties. Some of the products covered in the course include the Ciaglia Blue Rhino® G2 Advanced Percutaneous Tracheostomy Introducer and Dolphin BTTM Ciaglia Balloon-Assisted Tracheostomy Introducer, as well as the Thal-Quick Chest Tube Sets and Trays and the Wayne Pneumothorax Sets and Trays.
