Electronic commerce (e-commerce) is a lower-cost, more efficient way to do business. Without online ordering, some customers rely on fax, phone, and email orders. These types of orders are more prone to human error, take more time, and cost more than online ordering. However, not all customers are able to use more advanced forms of e-commerce.
Last month, we made improvements to our previous online ordering system, which hadn’t been updated since its launch in 2008. Now all our customers can use online ordering and experience the advantages of e-commerce at no charge.
“The costs associated with advanced e-commerce platforms can be a big challenge for smaller hospitals and providers, which is why we decided to make our system more user-friendly,” said Dave Reed, vice president of Healthcare Business Solutions.
The new system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has several features to help customers. Because the system saves routine orders, customers will spend less time when they order frequently used products. Customers can also search for products in new ways, confirm that products are in stock, and choose from new payment options. These improvements are an example of how we’re helping healthcare do more with less.
