Capstone Health Alliance awarded Cook with the Supplier Innovation Honorable Mention Award at its annual membership meeting in early November. Comprised of over 125 hospitals that span from the Northeast to the Midwest, Capstone Health Alliance is a regional group purchasing organization that delivers savings and enables supply chain efficiencies for its members. This is the second year that Capstone has presented supplier innovation awards during the meeting. The award recognizes suppliers that proactively bring opportunities to Capstone’s members and support its mission of delivering continuous value through aggregation, collaboration, and innovation.
To determine who would receive the award this year, Capstone compiled a list of suppliers that it felt were qualified candidates, and then it surveyed its entire membership. Cook was humbled and honored to be one of the four suppliers that were recognized from a pool of over 300.
Over the last six months, Capstone and Cook worked together to explore new opportunities in urology. Cook listened to Capstone’s needs and created a contract to benefit all of its members, including those that need a smaller number of more specific urology products.
Cook’s representatives met individually with IDNs and member hospitals within Capstone to discuss the opportunities that the contract presented and how the contract could impact them. The contract allowed members to try Cook’s urology products and decide if they could convert any of their existing products to Cook products.
“It was nice to work with pleasant people with a high level of integrity,” said Robin Lincoln, VP of Capstone Health Alliance. “Capstone looks for suppliers that support its members regardless of size or geography.”
Thank you, Capstone Health Alliance, for your recognition of this work. All of us at Cook are honored.
