“So, forty years on. Where are we now and where are we heading?” – Dr. Peter Cotton

This year Cook Medical is celebrating 40 years of interventional ERCP. To mark this milestone we have put together two special editions of The Channel.

In the second volume of 40 Years of Interventional ERCP: Stories from the Pioneers, Peter Cotton continues to delve into ERCP history. He interviews ground-breaking ERCP endoscopists from France, Germany and the US: Claude Liguory, Laszlo Safrany, Jerry Siegel, Nib Soehendra and David Zimmon.

Special appreciations for Stephen Silvis and Jack Vennes are also included in Volume 2 and were contributed by Marty Freeman, Michael Shaw and Chuck Rohrmann.

The name ERCP was approved by this working group at the Mexico City World Congress in 1974: Zazuei Ogoshi, Laszlo Safrany, Meinhard Classen, Tatsuzo Kasugai, Peter Cotton and Jack Vennes
