Focus on education and training

Cook Medical’s Vista Education and Training Programs focus on best practices in using innovative techniques and technologies designed to improve patient care. Led by physician and nurse experts, these opportunities offer discussion of procedural techniques and hands-on device sessions featuring one-on-one instruction. The ultimate goal of the Vista programs is to improve patient outcomes in the future by giving clinicians the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our products under the guidance of skilled experts in their respective fields.

Cook Medical’s Endoscopy division offers a number of Vista programs, which are supported by specific models, animal explants and cadaver labs (where available), and simulated experiences, which replicate as closely as possible actual clinical scenarios. Different skill levels are available to address a clinician’s specific device and procedural learning needs.

Cook Medical’s Endoscopy division has developed the ERCP trainer, which replicates pancreaticobiliary anatomy in a physician-designed mechanical model, allowing physicians to gain important experience in the fundamentals of ERCP and endoscope manipulation and/or management. It also allows participants to practice cannulation and endoscope techniques and/or management in a safe, stress-free environment under the supervision of skilled experts.

As the market leader and an innovator in EUS since 1998, Cook offers training courses focused on both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound. Featuring the widest range of needles on the market and our EchoTip ProCore technology, we offer a great overview of the entire EUS discipline.
