The way we do business has a lasting impact on our employees and customers. Our goal is to ensure our business practices reflect our commitment to equality and equity in every way. This commitment will require a deep and reflective look into the policies, processes, and procedures we use to operate, the services we provide, and the products we manufacture.
We have started with our human resources practices; identifying opportunities for improvement, particularly with our talent programs, and developing ways to more effectively set goals, monitor our progress, and create mechanisms for accountability to ensure all of our employees experience inclusion and equity and the value of our workforce diversity.
Many other parts of our business are starting to examine their practices through the lens of DEI as well. Our research and development and clinical affairs teams are focused on ensuring we are manufacturing and developing products with a DEI lens. Either by making humanitarian devices that make little profit but save children’s lives, or being mindful of diverse body types when we craft our devices, or ensuring that our products ergonomically fit the hands of clinicians of all kinds.
We firmly believe that it is our duty to not only do good business, but to do good while doing it.
