Cook Pharmica Names Victor Vinci vice president and chief scientific officer

Bloomington, Ind. — Victor Vinci, Ph.D., has joined Cook Pharmica’s leadership team as vice president and chief scientific officer. Vinci will be responsible for guiding the scientific direction of Cook Pharmica, applying his more than 20 years of broad technical, managerial and leadership experience.

“Victor is a great complement to the Pharmica leadership team. His vast experience in biopharmaceutical process development and operations will further ensure our ability to continually meet the needs of our clients and provide additional technical expertise for our clients to draw upon,” said Cook Pharmica president Tedd Green. “We’re carefully investing in people, equipment and facilities to make sure our customers are getting the service they’ve come to expect from Pharmica.”

Prior to joining Cook, Vinci worked for many years at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis and was responsible for leading bioprocess operations and development efforts. He also spent six years at Merck as a manufacturing science and technology lead and section head. He holds a Master of Science and a Doctorate in microbiology from The Ohio State University, and Bachelors of Science in both chemistry and microbiology from Bowling Green State University.

“I’m excited to be a part of what’s happening at Cook Pharmica,” said Vinci. “The company offers a wonderful service as a one-stop shop for contract manufacturing, including an expansive offering of process development expertise. I’m looking forward to applying my experience to the organization as it continues to grow.”
