Now Available in Canada, Hybrid Wire Guide is an Access Wire Guide and a Safety Wire Guide in One

The Motion Hybrid Wire Guide is designed to facilitate the placement of endourological instruments during diagnostic or interventional procedures. Usually during endourological procedures, clinicians use multiple wire guides. However, the Motion Hybrid Wire Guide is essentially two wires in one so clinicians can confidently gain access and maneuver instruments with only one wire.

“There are several benefits to using a two-in-one wire guide like this. Products like the Motion Hybrid Wire Guide help reduce inventory costs because clinicians need fewer products. Additionally, because there isn’t a need to switch wire guides as often, clinicians can also potentially reduce procedure time,” explained Rob Faulkner, director of Cook Medical’s Urology specialty. “This is a win-win product for physicians as well as hospital supply chains.”

The body of the Motion Hybrid Wire Guide is Teflon™ *-coated and constructed of tightly wound stainless steel to help enable the passage of instruments and to provide control during the procedure. To make procedures as effective as possible, the wire also includes features such as:
